#1 Inception
Director: Christopher Nolan
Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe
Release Date: Summer
Christopher Nolan is not only one of my favourite directors, but one of the most succesful directors right now. Inception is his next project after “The Dark Knight” and “The Prestige”. The main reason it is my number one, however, is the fact that nobody has a clue about what this movie will be about. Not even the new trailer gives any information. Nolan only says about his film that it is about “a crime set in the architecture of human mind”. WTF?!
#2 The Expendables
Director: Sylvester Stallone
Cast: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke
Release Date: September / October
This will be the return of the 80′s action flicks. Sylvester Stallone has a unique cast of new and old action heroes. Furthermore Stallone proved with Rocky VI and John Rambo that he still got it. So I expect only the best.
#3 Predators
Director: Namród Antal
Cast: Danny Trejo, Adrian Brody
Release Date: July
The movie will be prduced by Robert Rodriguez wich already is a good sign. Even better is the news that this movie will habe nothing to do with the Sequel “Predator 2″ or the very bad “Aliens versus Predator” movies. It will orientate itself more on the original movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger, which is a classic.

#4 The Rum Diary
Director: Bruce Robinson
Cast: Johnny Depp, Amber Heard
Release Date: ?
This is the secend film adaption of a book of Hunter S. Thompson, the creator of the “Gonzo Journalism”. Already in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas (directed by Terry Gilliam), Depp, who was a close friend of the Thompson, played the protagonist. So I’m curious what this movie will be like. The book is definitely a recommendation.

#5 Iron Man 2
Director: Jon Favreau
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johannson, Mickey Rourke
Release Date: May
Iron Man was one of the best comic adaptions so far (which mainly was the credit of great Robert Downey Jr. who recently saved “Sherlock Holmes” from being a total flop). Normally I’m always sceptic when it comes to sequels. However after watching the trailer and getting Mickey Rourke as the villain I think this one could be quite good.
#6 Bad Lieutenant – Port of Call New Orleans
Director: Werner Herzog
Cast: Nicolas Cage, Eva Mendes, Val Kilmer
Release Date: February
This movie is said to be Cage’s best performance in years. And German director-eccentirc Werner Herzog rarley disappoints with his films. So I’m quite confident that this will be an interesting movie. “Shoot him again. – What for? – His soul is still dancing…”
#7 Alice in Wonderland
Director: Tim Burton
Cast: Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp
Release Date: March
6th movie of the team Tim Burton and Johnny Depp (Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands). The trailer promises the movie to be very imaginary and fantastic.
#8 Undisputed 3 – Redemption
Director: Isaac Florentine
Cast: Scott Adkins
Release Date: ?
The movie focuses on the villain of Undisputed 2, Boyka (Scott Adkins). Undisputed 2, imo, is one of the greatest martial arts films ever and the trailer of the sequel promises to keep the quality.
#9 Kick-Ass
Director: Matthew Vaughn
Cast: Nicolas Cage, Mark Strong
Release Date: April
I don’t know much about the movie but the trailer really looks like fun.
And good news for all the Ralf Möller fans. He’s back! Playing a sadistic pervert in an erotic-thriller. Seems to be just the right role for “character” specialist Ralf Möller

still laughin about the trailer of #9
